COMING APRIL 21^st

MARTHA SAWYER COMMUNITY LIBRARY

Aren't sure about e-readers or tablets?

Overwhelmed with all the choices?

Asked a salesperson and weren't sure if their answer was tied directly to their commission?

On April 21^st from 2:00-6:00 the library will be hosting a technology petting zoo presentation. A representative from the Maine State Library will be here with a variety of e-reader and tablet devices. There will be a presentation at 2:00 to explain the differences between the devices. No bias; just clearly presented pros and cons for each device.

The devices included in the petting zoo are:

Kindle Paperwhite e-reader, Nook Simple Touch e-reader, Kindle Fire Tablet, Nook HD+ tablet, iPad Mini tablet and a Nexus 7 Tablet.

The petting zoo devices will stay at the library on the 21^st for patrons to navigate at your own pace. I will be available to help with instructions after the MSL representative has left until the library closes at 6:00.

The library has also purchased 2 Nook Simple Touch e-readers that will be part of our lending program. Any patron can borrow one of these pre-loaded e-readers after April 21^st.

The library will we closed for the remainder of April vacation. We will reopen April 28^th from 3:30-7:30.
